Veronicards - About Us

Veronicards, an unusual name, as the owners are Janet and Marion.

However, Veronica opened the shop in 2003 as the first British card shop in Paphos. She soon realised that there was also a need for a one-stop shop for wedding favours for decorating British weddings including, Cyprus wedding balloons, organza, confetti and much more.

The position of the shop, with lots of parking, close to the hotels of the tourist area makes it easy to find. Veronicards finishing touches gained a good reputation for consistent high quality and is used by many wedding companies large and small as well as individuals planning their own weddings and looking for Cyprus wedding favours and Cyprus wedding balloons.

Janet. I came out to Cyprus in 2007 and joined Veronica to help look after the shop. I soon became involved with the Cyprus wedding balloons and Wedding Favours. Veronica was a good teacher and now, with two of us, we could tackle large projects i.e. decorating the officer’s mess for Christmas. I then went for further training with Qualatex and, since buying the business in June 2008, my partner and I have been creating new ways of using Tulle and Fabric with balloons to dress areas, taking account of the breeze and sun that can affect balloon displays in Cyprus.

Marion intended to retire when she came to Cyprus in 2006. She soon became involved with two charities, Cancer Support and Paws Dog Shelter. When Janet needed a partner in the business she turned to Marion as a friend with good creative skills. She also went for Qualatex training to improve the skills taught by Veronica. She enjoys the challenge of finding new wedding favours that offer more choice for our brides.

John. Janet’s husband looks after the shop allowing both Marion and Janet to go to venues.

Peter. Marion’s partner, along with John makes sure our Cyprus wedding balloons and wedding favours are delivered on time and look their best, a very important job.
